PURPOSE: To selectively heat condensate and to cool water fed into a heat recovery steam generator by connecting a heat-exchanger between a condensate supply source and a deaerator and between the deaerator and the heat recovery steam generator. CONSTITUTION: A heat-exchanging means 28 is connected between a condensate supply source in a condenser 16 and a deaerator 20 and between the deaerator and a heat recovery steam generator 18. In this arrangement, valve means 34, 46, 50 are selectively opened and closed so as to circulate supply water reserved in a storage tank part 62 of the deaerator 20 and having a relatively high temperature, through a heat-exchanger 40. Accordingly, the supply water can be cooled by the condensate from the condenser 16. Further, the bypass volume of the condensate from them the condenser 16 in a bypass pipe line 56 in controlled by means of a valve means 40 which is controlled by a supply water temperature detecting means 58. Thus, the condensate circulating through the heat-exchanger 40 is heated by the supply water, and then flows into a gas phase part 54. Thus, the cooling of the supply water and the heating of the condensate can be simultaneously made, thereby it is possible to enhance the total operation efficiency of a combined cycle power plant 10.
