PURPOSE:To make a device personally private by providing EPROM into which a personal identification number is previously written and a personal identification number collation/judgement processing part collates the previously written personal identification number with the personal identification number inputted from a keyboard. CONSTITUTION:EPROM 1-A into which the personal identification number is written and the personal identification number collation/judgement processing part 1-B for collating the number inputted from the keyboard with the personal identification number are provided. After power is raised, a lap top personal computer reads the personal identification number from ROM 1-A and waits for the input of the personal identification number from outside, which is inputted from the keyboard. When the personal identification number is inputted from the keyboard, both personal identification numbers are collated in the processing part 1-B. When they do not coincide, reinput is requested, and a system is started when they coincide. Consequently, only a person who knows the personal identification number can start and use the lap top personal computer. Namely, it can be set as the personally private lap top personal computer. |
