PURPOSE:To minimize a quantity of electrolytic solution leaking to a periphery of a solid polarizable electrode by filling impregnant into a recessed part having a enclosed periphery which is produced when solid polarizable electrodes are opposed. CONSTITUTION:Conductive rubber is used for current collectors 1, 2. Solid polarizable electrodes 3, 4 are polarizable electrodes which are formed by sintering and molding activated carbon particles to a solid matter; and shallow recessed parts 3-1, 4-1 are provided to central parts of opposite sides thereof across a separator. An impregnation material 5 is filled into the recessed parts. An activated carbon particle, activated carbon fiber, etc., are used for the impregnation material 5, and mixed with electrolytic solution to form paste to be filled. Furthermore, a gasket 7 is used to insulate the polarizable electrode from peripheral materials. Since the polarizable electrode is a solid matter, it does not drop as time passes. Therefore, electrical connection does not deteriorate without producing a clearance between current collectors. |
