PURPOSE:To obtain a fluctuation frequency characteristic by a simple constitution by providing a means for generating a time sequence of a random number, a means for setting variably characteristic designation data corresponding to a selection value of a degree (n) and a means for generating a time sequence having a 1/f<n> approximate frequency for setting the selection value as the degree. CONSTITUTION:From a random number generating means 1, each element of a random number time sequence Xi is inputted to a linear converting means 2, in which it is brought to linear conversion by a linear conversion coefficient (ar) given through a coefficient generating means 4 from a degree designating means 3. The means 3 is a means for instructing variably a linear conversion characteristic in the means 2, and in accordance with the degree (n) being characteristic designation data, a spectral characteristic of a frequency response of the means 2 is given by about 1/f<n>. A generated linear conversion time sequence is stored in a memory means 5, and has a fluctuation frequency characteristic allowed to be approximate by 1/f<n> against the degree (n) designated by the means 3. As a result, a sound pitch time sequence of a generated melody also has the same fluctuation frequency characteristic. |
