PURPOSE:To obtain the title film having a specific light transmittance and excellent transparency, mechanical strength and heat resistance, etc., by subjecting a polycyanoaryl ether containing specific recurring units at a specific ratio to extrusion molding and cooling the molded material with a cooling roll. CONSTITUTION:A polycyanoaryl ether containing >=50 mol%, preferably >=80 mol% recurring units expressed by the formula and being 0.5-3.0 dl/g, preferably 0.7-2.5 dl/g in reduced viscosity at 60 deg.C of 0.2 g/dl solution of p-chlorophenol is subjected to extrusion molding at 340-450 deg.C, preferably 350-400 deg.C and cooled with a cooling roll at 50-200 deg.C, preferably 100-180 deg.C surface temperature to provide the aimed film suitable for electric and electronic equipment field, etc., having >=60%, preferably >=70% light transmittance. |
