The invention relates to a stabilising device for mounting an agricultural tool of great width on a carrying implement such as a tractor, of the type including a pendular suspension and an offset-correcting thrust cylinder. In accordance with the invention, the frame (5) of the tool is mounted, through the use of a pendular suspension (7, 11) on an intermediate piece (6, 7, 24, 25, 27, 31, 42) which is itself fixed to the carrying implement (1) through the use of a suspension (2, 21, 22, 25, 28, 32, 34, 36, 41, 43) which substantially produces a horizontal translation. The invention applies particularly to fertilizer-spreading and spraying booms. <IMAGE>
