摘要 PURPOSE:To carry out continuous baking of a large-sized long superconducting material by heating an end of a long-size superconducting molded article at the peak temperature to form a partially molten part, transferring the article into a furnace having a uniformly heating zone having a temperature lower than the above peak temperature and progressing the sintering by the movement of the molten part. CONSTITUTION:An end of a long-sized molded article 3 of a superconducting material is placed at an end of a uniformly heating zone 2 in a sintering furnace 1. The end part of the article is heated at the peak temperature T1 of the molded article to form a partially molten part at the end of the molded article 3. The molded article 3 is maintained at a holding temperature T2 and, at the same time, the article 3 is transferred through the furnace 1 to successively move the molten part to effect the development and continuation of the sintering reaction and perform continuous sintering of the article. The melting and sintering operations are carried out at the peak temperature T1 of 950-1,050 deg.C and the holding temperature T2 of 930-1,000 deg.C. A long-sized oxide-based high- temperature superconducting ceramics can be continuously baked by this process.
