The apparatus is composed of a small foot-rest board (1) supported, on the inner side of the foot, on a vertical stud (2) with a virtually pointed base and, on the outer side of the foot, on the curved lower edge (4) of a vertical support (3). The plane of the said curved edge (4) is substantially parallel to the vertical longitudinal plane of the foot, at rest, the vertical plane containing the trace (line) of the stud (A) and the point of contact (B) of the curved edge (4) passing through the axis of rotation of the ankle. It is used in pairs, that is to say one for the right foot and one for the left foot. The patient's feet are each placed on their corresponding apparatus. <IMAGE>
