The means for connection between two elements of a tibial part of a sliding knee prosthesis, comprising a metal support (1) for anchoring in the tibia and a plate (2) made of plastic material for cooperating with the femoral part, are distinguished by the fact that the face of the support (1) has a profiled recess (1f), while the lower face of the plate (2) has a span (2e) of corresponding shape which is complementary to the said recess in order to permit an engagement of the two elements, the facing surfaces of the support and of the plate having connection zones which are suitably distributed over the facing surfaces of the support and of the plate, and the elements thus provided and dimensioned are assembled by hooping at the level of the said connection zones. <IMAGE>
