The present invention relates to a grating (grid, grille) for a water intake particularly for a hydroelectric plant. This grid (19) including a plurality of bars (33) is placed at the inlet of a water intake, and can move between an emerged position and a position which is at least partially submerged. The bar screen (10) associated with this grid consists of a fixed support (25, 28) carrying an element termed a blade (29) exhibiting a plurality of orifices (30), each of these orifices (30) receiving one of the said bars (33) of the movable grid (19) for relative movement between the said bars (33) and the said blade (knife) element. <IMAGE>
