Between the dispensing conveyor belt (3) and the scattering head (7), an equalising belt (9) passes under a roller (10) opposite which a plunger (11) raises and lowers the belt (9) to adjust the depth of the loose material. The plunger (11) is operated by computer control (14) from an optical system 88) measuring the thickness of material adhering to the strip (1) after it has passed over the belt weigher (13). Homogeneous spread is assisted by vibration (16) of the equalising belt (9). USE/ADVANTAGE - In mfr. of chipboard or fibreboard. Imprecision of scatter can be disregarded and dispensed quantity regulated without difficulty.
