A process for oligomerizing C2 to C10 olefins obtained by thermal or catalytic cracking of heavy hydrocarbons. The olefins are oligomerized in the presence of added hydrogen over a 1-12 Constraint Index zeolite to gasoline and distillate products. Feed pretreatment, to assist in removing basic nitrogen compounds present in refinery olefin streams, with water wash or a guard bed may be practised to improve catalyst life. |
