PURPOSE:To obtain a toner uniform in electric chargeability and capable of forming a sharp image high in density by using a toner composed of specified resin particles, a dye used for dyeing the toner, a pigment or a pigment and a charge controller used for mechanically driving into the surfaces of the particles, and the like. CONSTITUTION:The resin particles to be used as the core particles and containing no colorant has an average particle diameter of 3 - 15 mum and this narrow size distribution results in obtaining the toner narrow in size distribution. The dyed resin particles themselves become the toner, but especially, as concerns the black toner, a pure black color cannot be easily obtained only by dyeing, and the coloring degree is increased by driving the pigment into the surfaces of the colored particles, and a proper electric resistivity is also obtained. A proper triboelectrifiability is obtained by driving a combination of the pigment and a charge controller at the same time, thus permitting proper triboelectrified value to be obtained and a sharp image to be reproduced. |
