The hydraulic control (10) uses a single proportional throttle valve (24) for load pressure compensated control in both directions of movement. The proportional throttle valve (24) cooperates with a 4-way pressure equaliser (25) which acts as a 3-way flow regulator during lifting and a 2-way flow regulator during lowering under load. A switching valve (19) cooperates with a feedback line (36) and a non-return valve (37) to direct the vol flow to the input side of the throttle valve. ADVANTAGE - Reduced complexity and size.
