PURPOSE:To prevent partial wear at a radial tire for a passenger car having circumferential grooves and sideway grooves, by forming sideway grooves at a block row between a tread end which is on the outside at the time of a tire being attached and an adjoining circumferential groove, and at a block row on its inside, with the alternate arrangement of wide main grooves and narrow sub grooves which are closed at the time of ground contact, and making the circumferential groove connecting ends of main grooves and sub-grooves come near at a space between both blocks. CONSTITUTION:Sideway grooves 29, 27 which are formed at an outside block row 35 between a circumferential groove 17 and a tread end 19 that becomes outside at the time of a tire being attached, and at a block row 37 on the inside of the circumferential groove 17, are constituted with wide main grooves 29a, 27a and narrow sub grooves 29b, 27b which are closed at the time of ground contact, and these main grooves 29a, 27a and sub-grooves 29b, 27b are alternately arranged. And the circumferential groove 17 connecting ends C-F of these main grooves 27a, 29a, and sub-grooves 27b, 29b are made to come near as shown in the drawing. That is, the end portion E of the sub-groove 29b and a main groove 27a end portion F come near to each other, and a main groove 29a end portion C and a sub-groove 27b end portion D are made to come near. As a result, partial wear can be prevented. |
