Reducing nitrogen oxide emission from premix gas burners - by specific ratios of component sizes and spacings

Elongated burner bars (2) of an atmospheric pre-mix gas burner and burning a gas/air mixt. emerging as rows of flames (5) from an axial mixer tube (3) are laid on the floor of a combustion chamber, whose walls are heated by the flames, as is the base of a heat-exchanger (6) mounted on the combustion chamber head. The ratio between (a), the max. burner bar distance from the chamber wall, multiplied by the distance up to the heat-exchanger base (dependent on max. flame height), and (b) the prod. of total burner-bar exit cross-section, ratio of mixer tube dia. to flame jet dia. and ratio of burner bar dia. to a standard 40mm burner tube die is less than or equal to 1. USE - For keeping NOX emission below 75 ppm.
