The spherical end (6) of a projectile for large-calibre hand-guns or a grenade projector is mounted in the interior of a cartridge holding the propellent charge and ignition system and is sepd. from the cartridge wall by a radially expansible sealing sleeve (5), whose rounded rear is sepd. from the cartridge wall by a flexible seal (5) formed of two-component adhesive, e.g. polysulphide. The cartridge wall is crated with a parting cpd., while adhesion promoter (27) is used in the projectile contact area. ADVANTAGE - Sealing sleeve is easily and cheaply installed.
