Hydraulic vehicle braking pump - incorporates swashplate drive and control valves for min. drag

The variable swashplate (3) drives the axial mounted pistons (5) to generate the high pressure brake fluid flow through the flow restrictions and back to the sump. The swashplate is lubricated by the fluid flow through the shaped feet (10) on the pistons. Non-return valves in the feed to the feet stop the flow when the pressure drops and the pistons retract from the drive. - The system has a min. drag when not braking. The pump is primed by a priming pump and is vented by control valves when the braking sequence is finished.
