TV signal data abstracting device - uses data from teletext to control TV receiver and video recorder

The figure shows a block diagram of the device which examines transmitted television signals, operating equipment in such a way as to facilitate recording of pre-requested programes using video recorders. In particular, an electronically controlled receiver (11) operates with signal decoder (12) and comparater (14) in a feedback circuit with controller (13) to select channel as required by stored data in system controller (15). The same circuits check time information from transmitted TV signals to allow operation of video recorder. USE/ADVANTAGE - Video recorder circuits. Allows recording of delayed transmission through checking of teletext data.
