Switching voltage limitation circuit for HV network - comprises matched ohmic resistance in parallel with string of saturable core inductors, latent in stationary operation
摘要
A saturable choke (L) assembled from a number of annular cores threaded onto a conductor (LZ) is shunted by an ohmic resistance (R) equal in value to the wave impedence of the main conductor of the protected high-voltage cable or overhead line. The resistance is dimensioned only for loading during transient processes leading to correspondingly small build-up of the ohmic resistance, and suppresses high-frequency oscillations. ADVANTAGE - Circuit independent of power switchgear and additional controls is effective even under transient outages and compensatory processes, and does not impair normal operation.
