PURPOSE: To obtain an automatic blood pressure monitor used for a patient accommodated in a hyperbaric chamber, which is a device for measuring the blood pressure of a patient in a room, the internal pressure of which is different from the atmospheric pressure by providing a device for connecting the pressure sensing side of a differential transducer to the inside of a cuff and a device for connecting the reference side to the inside of the room. CONSTITUTION: When a cuff 36 is expanded, a valve 24 is operated so that gas flows from a hyperbaric chamber 14 through a hose 16 to the supply side of a pump 6, and a valve 30 is operated so that gas flows from the high pressure side of the pump 6 through a pipe 28 and a hose 12 to the cuff 36. The pump 6 is operated to expand the cuff 36, thereby supplying gas from the hyperbaric chamber 14 to the cuff 36. Accordingly, a reference pressure which determines the pressure▵P in the cuff 36 is the pressure in the hyperbaric chamber 14. The pressure in the cuff 36 is sensed by the opposite side of a transducer 4 through the hose 12 and a pipe 26. When it reaches designated pressure▵P, the pump 6 is de-energized, and the valves 24, 30 are operated to start reducing the cuff 36.
