PURPOSE: To finely adjust press characteristics optionally by positioning a heated lower press plate in a press lower portion and positioning a heated upper press plate, the upper press plate being affected by a press cylinder piston device and a contractile cylinder piston device. CONSTITUTION: A lower press plate 7 is supported via a heat insulating material 15 directly on frames 3 and an upper press plate 10 is directly affected via a heat insulating material 15 by a press cylinder piston device 8 and connected to a contractile cylinder piston device 9. The lower press plate 7 additionally serves as a press base and the upper press plate 10 additionally serves as a press beam. The press plate 7 or the press plate 10 has facing heaters 16 separated from a press gap 12, thereby compensating undesired thermal distortion. A movable wedge transmission device 17, which is provided between the press cylinder piston device 8 and the upper press plate 10 to adjust the press properties, is positioned transversely in relation to the longitudinal direction of the press device and is constructed to be self-locking. |
