PURPOSE:To obtain the title composition capable of forming a tough coating film improved in clarity of reflection by using a resin component consisting of a specified polyester resin and an alkyl-etherified formaldehyde resin as the constituent. CONSTITUTION:A paint composition for painted steel sheet, which contains a resin component consisting of 100 pts.wt. polyester resin and 5-50 pts.wt. alkyl-etherified formaldehyde resin. The polyester resin is one obtained from an acid component consisting of 50-90mol% terephthalic acid, 10-50mol% isophthalic acid, and 20-0mol% dicarboxylic acid other than terephthalic and isophthalic acids, or hydroxycarboxylic acid and a glycol component consisting of 30-70mol% ethylene glycol, 30-70mol% neopentyl glycol, and 10-3mol% 3-20C alkylene glycol other than neopentyl glycol. |
