PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain images excellent in fingerprint resistance, oil resistance such as plasticizer resistance and having high density and resolution, by providing a thermally transferable silane coupling agent in a dye-receiving layer or on the surface of the layer. CONSTITUTION:A thermally transferable silane coupling agent is provided in, or on the surface of, a dyeable layer 2, or alternatively, a silane coupling agent layer 3 is provided adjacent to the dye layer 2, and the silane coupling agent is transferred simultaneously with, or before or after dye transfer. The silane coupling agent is preferably used in an amount of 2-200 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of a resin used for forming the dye layer. The dye layer 2 has a thickness of 0.2-5.0mum, preferably 0.4-2.0mum, and it is suitable that a sublimable dye being present in the dye layer 2 in an amount of 5-90wt.%, preferably 10-70wt.%, based on the dye layer 2. It is thereby possible to obtain transferred images excellent in fingerprint resistance or oil resistance such as plasticizer resistance and having high density and resolution. |
