<p>PURPOSE:To display whether a digital copy of a regenerative signal is feasible or not by providing a display data setting part to be controlled by a copy control signal discriminating part and a display mode switch. CONSTITUTION:The subject device is provided with the copy control signal discriminating part 11 for discriminating a copy control subcode signal for showing suitableness for the digital copy, a copy inhibit bit setting part 12 and a category code setting part 13 capable of outputting a 1st category code for deciding the suitableness for the digital copy with the presence of a copy inhibit bit and a 2nd category code capable of making the digital copy irrespective of the presence of the inhibit bit. Moreover, the device is equipped with a display part 27 capable of displaying the suitableness for the copy, the display mode switch 30 for selecting the display of the suitableness for the copy at the display part or a display of other information else and the display data setting part 24 to be controlled by the copy control signal discriminating part 11 and the display mode switch 30. By this method, only on the occasion of need required by the user, whether the digital copy of a regenerative signal should be feasible or not can be displayed.</p> |
