PURPOSE:To reduce secondary distortion via a phase inversion amplifier by interposing the phase inversion amplifier between an optical/electric conversion part and an electric/optical conversion part. CONSTITUTION:An optical repeater 21 is equipped with the optical/electric conversion part(O/E converter) 22, the electric/optical conversion part(E/O converter) 23, and the phase inversion amplifier 24 interposed between both conversion parts 22, 23, and also, those optical/electric conversion part 22, electric/ optical conversion part 23, and phase inversion amplifier 24 are connected to a power source part 25. A secondary distortion component generated at the electric/optical conversion part 2 passes the electric/optical conversion part 23 as an original signal, and is outputted from an optical/electric converter 9 as an electrical signal, and the secondary distortion components are negated with each other which remarkably reduces the secondary distortion component. |
