<p>A machine for use in removing pieces of load-bearing pallets in the repair thereof comprises support means (12; 112) arranged to support a pallet, holding means (14) operable to hold a pallet against movement, a guideway (30; 132) extending parallel to said support means, drive means (72; 165) for a cutter (62; 162) mounted on the guideway and adjusting means (46, 48, 50) operable to adjust the spacing of the cutter from the support means. As the drive means (72) moves along the guideway, the cutter cuts through wood and/or nails of the pallet.</p> |
