MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording medium having excellent electromagnetic conversion characteristics and traveling durability with good balance by specifying the loss elasticity of coating films which constitute magnetic layers on a nonmagnetic supporting body. CONSTITUTION:The coating films which constitute the magnetic layers on a nonmagnetic supporting body are provided to satisfy that the coating film for the uppermost layer shows the peak loss elasticity at the temp. higher than the temp. of peak loss elasticity of any other coating films for magnetic layers except for the uppermost layer, and that the loss elasticity of the coating films has its peak at >=50 deg.C with <20 deg.C half width. By this method, dispersibility of ferromagnetic powder can be improved and the obtd. magnetic recording medium has excellent electromagnetic conversion characteristics and traveling durability with good balance.
