PURPOSE: To obtain an extrusion die simple in constitution unnecessary for forming a die slot by precise processing by arranging a plurality of supply pipes and a plurality of shaping elements so as to form an extrusion slot pattern capable of forming a monolithic honeycomb structure by extrusion molding. CONSTITUTION: An extrusion die has a supply part 14 having a stack 50 of pipes 12 and these pipes 12 have contact parts and spaced-apart parts and are held so as to be spaced apart from each other by spacer wires 36 having a diameter and length less than those of the pipes 12. The spaced-apart pipes form gaps 24 by the reference surfaces of one ends thereof and the shaft parts 22 of shaping tooth elements 18 enter these gaps. The tooth elements 18 are supported with respect to the respective reference surfaces and, by this constitution, the shaping surfaces of the head parts 20 of the tooth elements are positioned highly accurately to form a plurality of crossing extrusion slot rows 32, 34. The respective pipes 12 have supply holes 30 to send an extrusion material into the transition passages 28 provided in one ends of the tooth elements 18. These transition passages 28 send the extrusion material into the rows of the crossing extrusion slots 32, 34 from the supply parts 14 to form a monolithic honeycomb structure. |
