发明名称 FRICTION MATERIAL FOR ULTRASONIC MOTOR
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a friction material excellent in wear resistance, noise resistance and stability by employing cermets, where hard inorganic particles are mixed into metallic base material, as the material for the sliding face. CONSTITUTION:A ultrasonic motor comprises a vibrator A, which comprises a vibration body 1 and a retaining body 2, and a rotor 11. The rotor 11 is provided with a friction member 12 on the inner circumferential face at the rear end section of a cylindrical rotor housing 11a, and the friction member 12 is pressure jointed to the sliding section at the horn section of the vibration body 1. The friction member 12 is formed of cermets friction material composed of a metallic material having high affinity, e.g. copper, aluminum, iron, and the like, for bonding hard particles and forming the skeleton and a hard inorganic material, e.g. alumina, silicon carbide, silicon, and the like, effective for improvement of wear resistance and frictional coefficient. By such arrangement, high motor torque which can not be achieved with simple metallic substance can be achieved.
