PURPOSE:To efficiently clean an original conveying route by inserting a cleaning sheet to the original conveying route instead of an original, driving a conveyance roller, reciprocatively moving the cleaning sheet plural times in the original conveying route and afterwards, discharging the cleaning sheet. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning sheet 1a is loaded on an original placing table 1 and the end part of the cleaning sheet is inserted between a conveyance roller 4 and a press plate 5. When a start button is turned ON, a timer A built in a control circuit 14 starts measuring time and the conveyance roller 4 and a platen roller 6 are rotated forward to convey the cleaning sheet. When the timer A finishes measuring the set time, namely, when the rear end of the cleaning sheet 1a arrives at the conveyance roller 4, the conveyance roller 4 and the platen roller 6 are stopped. Next, a timer B built in the control circuit 14 starts measuring the set time and simultaneously, the conveyance roller 4 and the platen roller 6 are rotated backward. Thus, the cleaning sheet 1a is discharged after being reciprocatively moved plural times in the original conveying route, and the original conveying route is sufficiently cleaned. |
