PURPOSE:To make the best use of advantages of both modes by selecting a normal mode prioritizing a printing speed and a power saving mode prioritizing the minimization of power consumption through a console panel. CONSTITUTION:The printer is provided with a means 16 selecting the normal mode 17 which always controls a heating means until a power source is turned off after the power source is turned on and the power saving mode 18 which controls the heating means until printing is completed after it starts. The normal mode 17 is selected when a printer is frequently used and the power saving mode 18 is selected when the printer is seldom used. In such a way, power consumption is effectively minimized according to the printing frequency of a printer, and a first printing time is not made longer unnecessarily. |
