PURPOSE:To omit the designation operations of an operator for input positions and to reduce the labor for production of a sequence program by designating the production direction of a sequence circuit via an instructing means to display the component element along the designated direction via a display means and displaying the input position of the next component element via a display control means. CONSTITUTION:An instructing means 1001 is provided to point the production direction of a sequence circuit together with an input means 1002 which inputs the component elements of the sequence circuit, a display means 1003 which displays graphically the component elements inputted by the means 1002 along the production direction instructed by the means 1001, and a display control means 1004 which displays graphically the input position of the component element to be inputted next via the means 1003 every time the component ele ment is displayed by the means 1003. The means 1004 also displays the produc tion direction instructed by the means 1001 based on the graphic showing the input position. In such a constitution, the load of the input operations of an operator can be reduced.
