PURPOSE: To store a covering element until its use by holding the covering element, expanding radially on a tubular holder to provide a prescribed level of elastic interference for a cable with a intended smallest diameter, after 24 months of storage at a room temperature. CONSTITUTION: A covering element is held expanding radially on a tubular holder 11, in which an insulating layer of a sleeve 10 is included, between the minimum value equivalent to instantaneous residual deformation which provides a certain level of elastic interference for the cable with the smallest diameter of intended plural cables, after 24 months of storage at a room temperature. The maximum value equivalent to a permissible expanding value for a final expanding condition of used materials, which is obtained after maintaining a given expanding condition for at least 6 months at a room temperature. Therefore, the covering element is storable and used for cables 1, 2 with several different sizes and ensures adequate fastening of cables. |
