PURPOSE:To improve the light transmission efficiency of a projection surface and to eliminate the adverse influence of stray light which is generated by reflection by making light which is made incident from a 1st plane incident at such an angle of incidence that the projection angle of projection light from a 2nd plane is an angle of polarization, and polarizing the light almost linearly and making the light incident so that the electric vector of the linear polarized light is parallel to the incidence surface. CONSTITUTION:The light which is incident from the 1st plane 11 is made incident at the angle i2 of incidence so that the reflection angle r2 of reflected light from the 2nd plane 12 is the angle of polarization ; and the light is polarized almost linearly and made incident so that the electric vector of the linear polarized light is parallel to the incidence plane (plane containing the normal of a border surface and the optical axis). Therefore, the reflection on the 2nd plane 12 is completely eliminated. Consequently, the light transmission efficiency of the projection surface is improved to increase light utilization efficiency and the generation of the stray light due to the reflection by the projection surface is suppressed to eliminate the adverse influence of the stray light, thereby performing excellent signal regeneration with the simple constitution. |
