A morphous polymer is recovered from solution by continuously feeding and discharging water into and from a radially symmetrical vessel so that a rotary flow of liquid is maintained around the axis of the vessel and bringing the polymer solution in contact with the liquid at the core portion of the body of liquid in the vessel, the pressure and temperature of the water being such that evaporation of the solvent occurs within the vessel. The amorphous polymer may be derived from isoprene, butadiene, isobutene or may be a copolymer of ethylene with propylene or butene-1 or a terpolymer of ethylene, propylene and a diolefin and may be in solution in n-hexane. The symmetrical vessel may be a rotation chamber in which the water is present as a hollow cylindrical core and the polymer solution may be fed as a continuous stream. The polymer may be discharged from the vessel as a film or tube, which may then be broken into crumbs and moulded.
