PURPOSE:To automatically generate a natural and real sub-melody by generating a sub-melody of a musical piece by determining present sound pitch information of the sub-melody, based on present chord information of a chord advance and past melody sound pitch information of a main melody. CONSTITUTION:By determining present sound pitch information of a sub-melody by a CPU 4 being a sub-melody generating means and a ROM 5, based on present chord information of a chord advance and past melody sound pitch information of a main melody given by a keyboard 2 being a main melody giving means for giving th information of a main melody of a musical piece and a code advance giving means for giving the information of a chord advance of the musical piece, at least one sub-melody of the musical piece is generated. In such a way, a natural and real sub-melody can be generated automatically. |
