BASE MATERIAL FOR COLOR FILTER AND COLOR FILTER FORMED BY USING THE SAME

PURPOSE:To obtain the color filter having high accuracy by patterning the base material obtd. by providing a carrying layers of a specific dyestuff on a transparent base body by specific printing means. CONSTITUTION:The base material for the color filter is obtd. by providing the carrier layer of the dyestuff having 20 to 100mg/g adsorbability on the transparent base body. The materials having the adsorbability within this range are exemplified by the oxide of aluminum and the hydrous matter thereof. The base material for the filter having particularly the excellent transparency is obtd. by using such an alumina sol which forms the assemblage of the alumina hydrate of fur-like bundle oriented in a specified direction when the alumina sol contg. 7wt.% Al2O3 in terms of solid content to 100 times by pure water and is dropped onto a collodion film imparted with hydrophilicity and is dried. The carrying layer of the dyestuff to be used is capable of additionally preventing irregular reflection and scattering when the ten-point mean roughness on the surface thereof is specified to <=0.05mu. The distinct filter is obtd. in such a manner.
