To give the pivot mounting of the door-holding strap of a motor- vehicle door stop a freedom of play preventing noise from being generated during the opening and closing of the vehicle door at as low an outlay as possible in terms of production and assembly, and in order to allow an optional assembly of the pivot mounting either during the production of the door stop itself or during its installation in the vehicle body, the door-holding strap is mounted, via a hinge pin connected rigidly, but releasibly to it, in hinge lugs of a bearing block which are spaced from one another by a multiple of the thickness of the door-holding strap. …<IMAGE>… |
