PURPOSE:To obtain a thermosetting copolymer improved in heat resistance, weathering resistance, chemical resistance, water resistance, machinability, etc., by copolymerizing a monomer and/or an oligomer containing a bisallyl compound with an ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid (anhydride). CONSTITUTION:A monomer and/or an oligomer containing a bis-allyl compound (eg. diethylene glycol bisallyl carbonate) and 0.05-5wt.% ethylenically unsaturated carboxylic acid (anhydride) (e.g. maleic anhydride) and optionally another radical-polymerizable monomer (e.g. styrene) are polymerized at 30-150 deg.C for 0.5-72hr in the presence of 0.1-10wt.% polymerization initiator (e.g. diisopropyl peroxydicarbonate) or photopolymerized at 40-120 deg.C for 1min to 2hr under irradiation from a 60-150W/cm high-pressure mercury vapor lamp. |
