PURPOSE: To perform printing without gear profile, without ghost phenomenon caused by application of a damping agent and with appropriate quality by driving a damping roller at a peripheral speed being approximately 3% higher than that of a plate cylinder from a transmission roller through a pair of gears fixed on the transmission roller and the damping roller. CONSTITUTION: A damping roller 1 is driven at a peripheral speed being approximately 3% higher than that of a plate cylinder 3 from a transmission roller 7 through a pair of gears fixed on the transmission roller 7 and the damping roller 1. In order to perform it, the transmission roller 7 supports a gear 11 with a larger diameter and this gear mates a gear 2 arranged on the damping roller 1. In addition, diameter of the gear 2 is smaller than diameter of the roller and the damping roller 1 is driven faster by an amt. corresponding to a gear transmission ratio and in this case, the transmission roller 7 is rotated by the peripheral speed of the plate cylinder. It is possible thereby to obtain a printed image without gear profile, without ghost phenomenon caused by application of a damping agent and with appropriate quality. |
