PURPOSE:To improve quality of a weatherstrip itself by forming a projected part and a recessed part of which is overlapped, on both wall surfaces of slit route for drawing a core of a mounting base, so as to eliminate reduction in sealing characteristic based on the dislocation of both of the wall surfaces, and thereby to prevent deformation of a cavity. CONSTITUTION:On a mounting base 5a of a weatherstrip 5, a slit route 7 for drawing a core 4 remains, and the route 7 is bent in the middle corresponding to the shape of a groove 4b of a connection 4a of the core 4. Namely, a projected part 8 and a recessed part 9 are formed on both wall surfaces of the route 7, in such way that a part of them are overlapped, in a respectively tangled form. In the structure of the strip 5, when the route 7 is closed with an adhesive agent or by a butyl tape and the like at the time of assembly, due to the entaglement of the projected part 8 and the recessed part 9, both of the wall surfaces are not dislocated in a horizontal direction. Even when the route 7 is not specially closed, dislocation does not occur, and the shape of a cavity 6 in the strip 5 is not deformed irregularly, and the sealing characteristic at the time of assembly can thus be maintained good. |
