Bolt lock for furniture - has housing with bias spring for bolt and actuator cam

The bolt is biassed from the housing by a spring in closure to bear against the control cam fitted to an actuator within the housing so that when the actuator turns, the bolt is retracted into the housing for opening, at higher spring load. The actuator (30) cam (34) is oval and its longer axis stands at right angles to the bolt (20) movement in the closed position. The bolt cam face (20,24) is adapted to the half periphery of the cam (34) as divided by the longer axis and thus bears fully against this in closure. At its ends the bolt cam face forms endstops to limit the cam (34) movement in both senses of the actuator movement.
