Construction plate consists of overlaying fibrous fleece joined together by a water setting gypsum-contg. binding agent made up of 40-60 pbw alpha semi-hydrate; 40-60 pbw low aluminate cement; 3-10 wt.% finely dispersed silicic acid and upto 2 wt.% retarding and/or accelerating agent. ADVANTAGE - The plate is water resistant and can be used in most areas as well as outdoor use. It has good mechanical properties and reasonable production costs.
