PURPOSE: To detect the presence of an analyte in a liquid sample by reinforcing the signal of a tracer with a metal label with a physical developer. CONSTITUTION: A liquid sample and a tracer are directed into a porous medium and brought into contact with a test region at an adjusted flow rate and an analyte is bound to a binder, the tracer is bound to the analyte, a physical developer is directed into the porous medium and a signal generated by the tracer is amplified, and a device is separated and the test region is read. A hole in the porous medium is a hole where the tracer and the physical developer can fully pass and is in a small direction where an interference substance in the sample and the developer cannot pass. The porous medium is a separate filter, the test region is arranged at the side of a carrier that faces the filter, and an absorption layer contacts the carrier at the opposite side of a side where the test region is arranged. To detect the tracer on the carrier, the filter is eliminated and the visibility of the tracer is measured as the measurement value of the analyte at the test region on the carrier, thus detecting the presence of the analyte in the sample. |
