Sports field construction method - uses stabilised layers of sand, lava and gravel

Tennis courts or running tracks may be constructed e.g. of a sand layer, supporting a mixture of sand and stabilising material. An intermediate layer of coarse gravel is applied, also a top layer of fine gravel. The ratio of sand and stabilising material is pref. 2.1. The thickness of the top layer is pref. 20-30 mm, and the intermediate layer thickness is pref. 15.20 mm. The thickness of the stabilising sand layer is pref. 50-100 mm.
