The press is for the continuous production of thin chip and fibre board. It consists of a central heated roller (2) and ancillary rollers (3, 4, 5). An endless steel band (6) passes around the guide roller (9), the central roller (2) and the feed roller (3), then around an adjustable tensioning roller (7). A mixed chip or fibre laminate is fed between the steel band (6) and the heated rotating central roller (2) and the gap between it and the ancillary rollers (4, 5), and is subjected to linear pressure. The steel band is driven around by the feed roller whose meer s elween wo thousan and three thousand five hundred millimetres. USE/ADVANTAGE - The life of the steel band is not impaired by the increased output.
