This invention relates to an apparatus for determining the ability and the rapidness of particles, preferably particles surrounded by membranes (cells, cell organelles, membrane vesicles) to absorb one or several substances being included in a solution surrounding the particles, the particles and the solution being intended to be mixed in order then to be filtrated so that the particles with the substance/substances are filtrated away from the solution itself, whereafter the particles with the substance/substances are intended to be chilled quickly. According to the invention the apparatus comprises a first syringe (7) provided with a plunger, which syringe contains a mixture of the particles and the solution and is connected with a filtration device (24). A first cylinder (3) provided with a plunger is intended to cooperate with the syringe (7) in that way that its content can be spurted through the filtration device. Furthermore, a container (39) containing a chilling medium/freezing medium has such a position in relation to the filtration device (24) that this one can be quickly lowered into the container. |
