<p>The method involves first making projections on one of the parts to be welded and joining the parts so that the protruding sides of the projections on one part face the other part. The electrodes are then applied to the external surfaces of the parts, coaxially to the projections, the electric current is switched on and the connected parts are fused. According to the invention the current intensity, its duration and the forging force are chosen so as to ensure the internal spread of the melted core, and forging is effected within 0.02-0.06 seconds after switching off the welding current. The method for connection of parts by electric contact projection welding should preferably be used for connection of different metals.</p> |
