When a spring (15) or (17) made for the use in the stationary scroll (3) or revolving one (4), respectively, is used interchangeably, that is, (15) for (4) and (17) for (3), as a chip seal of the scroll, even if the direction of a raised part of a cut-raised spring (15) or (17) provided on the sliding surface of the tip of the stationary scroll (3) or revolving one (4), respectively, for pressing the chip seal (14) or (16) is different from that of the other raised part, sealing effect can be obtained in the same way as obtained when the directions of the two parts are identical with each other and thus efforts in making the spring member (15) or (17) can be reduced to ensure cost saving.
